Senior Java Backend Developer (Marketing & Touchpoints)

DPG Media IT Antwerpen is responsible for the digital products of all DPG Media brands and internal applications, supporting major news and entertainment brands in the Netherlands and Belgium with cutting-edge technology. They foster an agile culture, focusing on delivering incremental business value with high quality and speed, while prioritizing customer support and understanding the 'why' behind their work. The Marketing IT Area contributes to DPG Media's mission to reach and inform as many people as possible. This team is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to help develop marketing products and services that attract and convert consumers with the best possible experience. This includes working on paywalls, marketing positions, and email/app push notifications, creating high-performing platforms in collaboration with other IT teams. As a developer, you will maintain and develop an optimal user experience for existing cloud-based applications and services used across the organization. The goal is to accelerate service development, requiring collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, architects, product owners, and data scientists. You will be instrumental in organizing data, developing data products for insights, and balancing business acceleration with managing technical debt.
