The Solutions Engineering team partners with clients to maximize their potential through Airwallex products, driving growth and success. This team influences revenue across the product portfolio and collaborates with sales, strategy, product, and engineering to provide an optimal experience for key customers. They serve as the technical point of contact and trusted advisor throughout pre-sales, solution design, and API integration phases. As a Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Sales teams to ensure a world-class customer experience. A robust understanding of multi-system API integrations is crucial to support engineers in designing a cutting-edge tech stack. You will engage with various stakeholders, from engineers to C-level executives, and internal teams to deliver product demonstrations and propose compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

Work with account executives to design solutions that solve critical business challenges for clients, throughout pre-sales, solution design, and implementation processes Develop proof of concept applications built on top of Airwallex, present technical demonstrations, and help clients visualise the successful target state Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and ensure client’s integration follow best practice guidelines to create best developer experience Provide strategic insights to internal product teams on areas of improvement to the implementation process that can reduce time to go live, remove internal and/or client friction to accelerate time to transaction Take ownership of outstanding deliverables in the end to end project delivery lifecycle and ensure they are captured per the project plan

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, with strong academic achievements 5+ years experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role (solution consultant, solutions architect, sales engineer, IT consultant, etc.) Strong problem-solving mindset, comfortable working with customers, partners, and engineering teams Understand at least one major programming language (PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.) Experience integrating RESTful APIs into web applications Knowledge of payments domain / financial services (preferred) Prior experience working on integrations with major accounting platforms such as Xero, NetSuite, Fusion Cloud and QuickBooks (preferred) Passionate about learning and actively seeks out knowledge Ability to work independently and confidently to develop a path forward with customers under ambiguous circumstances Strategic and creative thinker who can proactively identify challenges and maintain a positive approach Strong organizational/time management skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities Executive engagement skills and presence, with an ability to establish strong relationships and build credibility at all levels
