About the Role

Siemens Mobility, a leader in sustainable and reliable transport solutions for over 160 years, is seeking an EMC Engineer for its Train Control group. This team designs control functions in both software and hardware for railway vehicles, focusing on safety, reliability, and energy efficiency. The company operates the second-largest railway vehicle development center globally in the Czech Republic, working on projects for high-speed and regional trains worldwide. This role involves contributing to the development of cutting-edge railway vehicles, ensuring their electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). You will work on projects ranging from hybrid to conventional propulsion systems, impacting the lives of hundreds of thousands of passengers daily. Responsibilities

Collaboration on the technical description of the vehicle Creation of EMC concept and plan Detailed clarification of requirements with the customer Simulation, checking EMC compliance of electrical components Evaluation of measurement results, commenting on standards and hazardous situations Creation of test specifications, communication with the testing center Cooperation in issuing declarations of conformity

Requirements

University degree in Electrical Engineering Several years of experience in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) Decree 250 for independent electrical engineering design Active knowledge of English or German, basic knowledge of the other language Basic knowledge of railway vehicles and their control systems is an advantage Team spirit, willingness to continue learning
