As a Data Center Operations Manager at AWS Infrastructure Services, you are one of the "people who keep the cloud running." You will lead a diverse team of experts responsible for the design, delivery, and 24/7 operation of global data center infrastructure. This role is about more than just maintenance; it’s about ensuring infinite capacity and high-level innovation for millions of customers worldwide.
Total Compensation: Base Salary + Sign-on Bonus + RSUs (Stock Options)
Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day 24/7 data center operations, hardware logistics, and queue management.
Team Empowerment: Recruit, train, and develop career paths for a diverse team of data technicians and operators.
Incident Management: Act as the call leader for Large Scale Events (outages) and drive rapid resolution.
Performance Excellence: Ensure all operational KPIs and SLAs are met while driving technology innovation and automation.
Strategic Oversight: Recommend and oversee policies to meet industry best practices and improve customer experience.
Experience: 4+ years in Information Technology (IT) or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (CS, Engineering, Math).
Leadership: 2+ years of direct people management experience.
Operational Expertise: 2+ years of experience in mission-critical plants or data center facilities (including on-call support).
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of hardware, network diagnostics, and system management tools.
Certifications (Preferred): A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or AWS certifications are a significant plus.
